SLP Firmware Download

How to update the firmware on SLPD/SLP/SLPM projectors?

  1. Download the firmware file (GIMI_MADISON_WPM.bin).
  2. Save the downloaded firmware file to the root directory of an external USB stick/drive (Important: the USB stick/drive need to be formatted to FAT32)
  3. Insert the external USB stick/drive to the USB 2.0 port (Important: MUST be the USB 2.0 Port) of the projector.
  4. Plug in the AC adapter.
  5. Press and hold the Power On button at the back panel of the projector, release the Power On button when the system update page showed up on the projected screen.
  6. The projector will do the rest of the firmware update automatically and will restart automatically when the firmware update is done.

Z4 Aurora Firmware

Current Version:  V1.6.0

Firmware Update Instruction

Option 1: Online Update

When the projector is online, from your home screen, navigate to System Setup>About>System Update>Online Update. Online Update is a fully automatic process, the projector will download the updated firmware and install it.

Option 2: Offline Update via USB

  1. Download the firmware file (GIMI_NAPOLI_Z4XP_EN_WP.bin) from our online storage partner Mega.nz.
  2. Plug in the AC adapter.
  3. Save the downloaded firmware file to the root directory of an external USB stick/drive.
  4. Plug the external USB stick/drive to the USB 2.0 port (MUST be the USB 2.0 port) of Z4 Aurora projector.
  5. From the home screen of Z4 Aurora, navigate to System Setup>About>System Update>USB Update.
  6. The projector will perform the firmware update automatically and will restart after the update is completed.

Z4 Air Firmware

Current Version:  V1.0.3

Firmware Size: 668MB

Firmware Update Instruction

  1. Download the firmware file (GIMI_MADISON_Z4AIR_WPM_16.bin).
  2. Store the downloaded firmware file to the root directory of an external USB stick/drive.
  3. Plug in the AC adapter.
  4. Plug the external USB stick/drive to the USB 2.0 port (MUST be the USB 2.0 port) of Z4 Air projector.
  5. From the home screen of Z4 Air, navigate to System Setup>About>System Update>U-disk Update.
  6. The projector will perform the firmware update automatically and will restart after the update is completed.
